Lauren supports requiring any company that profits from selling or licensing Tennesseans' personal data to pay residents a share of that revenue, and to disclose in plain language what they collect and how much they earn. She will close the loopholes in Tennessee's data privacy law that exempt many data brokers and mid-sized platforms, and support a state data broker registry maintained by the Attorney General's office so Tennesseans can see who holds their information and opt out in one place.
