Fentanyl is killing Tennesseans, and Lauren refuses to treat it as only an enforcement problem or only a public health crisis. Drawing on fifteen years working trafficking cases, she'll tighten coordination among the TBI, local drug task forces, and Tennessee's HIDTA partners to go after the networks moving this poison into our communities. She'll also invest in the hardest-hit communities, expand behavioral health and noninvasive addiction therapies, ensure people incarcerated for substance abuse leave with treatment, offer safer alternatives to opioids for people in pain, and go upstream by investing in childhood development so young people never reach for these drugs to cope.
